Many people make New Year’s resolutions in January and by early February those empty promises are all broken. The exercise equipment and the gym memberships go unused. The commitment to spend less time watching TV and more time with the family doesn’t seem that important anymore. And the need to know God more seems impossible.

I still love the fact that the New Year causes people to take stock of their individual lives even if we seem to miss the mark year after year. The desire to be a better person should be a constant goal of ours. The problem is that all of those goals will come up short in the end without a personal relationship with the Creator of us all.

Here at Harvest, we believe we carry the greatest message the world has ever know and we would love to share it with you sometime soon. If your desire is to be connected to something so much bigger than yourself than I would encourage you to give us a try one Sunday morning.

One of the beauties of the Christian life is that with Christ your life really can be a “do over.” Start your year right; learn to know, and love, your Savior.
